Halfway through league, the David Douglas Scots Boys basketball team find themselves searching for answers. The Scots opened up league play with a home win against the Gresham Gophers. In the past week since, the Scots have lost 3 consecutive games by a total of 12 points to Barlow, Central Cathlic and Sandy. Needless to say the players and coaches are not content with the the way things have started.
“This is definitely not the start we had hoped for “, states assistant varsity coach Jawanza Hadley. “I can say this with great certainty that this is not the start we were wanting or expecting. We need to get this thing turned around and we will. We are going to stop, gather the troops and re-evaluate things. We will get back on track. We’ve lost a few battles, but we are still in the war!”.
The Scots will attempt to get things back on track this upcoming Friday when they play host to the visiting Centennial Eagles.
